I am currently working with a camera start up in San Francisco who are looking for an embedded software engineer to join their. You’ll be working in a team of four, providing technical leadership and helping them develop their cutting edge camera system.

You will play a key role from getting them to prototype though to launch, which they are aiming to do in 2027. This role would suit someone who likes working in a high autonomous, results focused business, and who enjoys developing consumer technology and has a track record of launching products to market.

The base salary for this role is in the region of $200k – $240k, with health coverage and equity on top.

What you’ll do

• Develop embedded software for high spec camera systems
• Work on a complex IoT product with a large number of sensors involved
• Develop a Linux platform for the device to run off

What you’ll need

• Experience with embedded C and C++
• Strong Linux experience, including Yocto Linux
• Experience working on consumer electronics products
• Background working in a start up would be highly beneficial
• Knowledge of camera and/or video technology
