FPGA engineer
Work on advanced defense technology while enjoying full control over your FPGA projects.
You’ll take charge of FPGA design and development for cutting-edge software-defined radio (SDR) systems, shaping custom waveforms used in critical Department of Defense programs.
You’ll be part of a small, focused team where you work directly with a senior expert, both mentoring junior engineers and learning advanced techniques yourself. You’ll also have the freedom to choose your tools and methods, giving you genuine autonomy over how you deliver your work.
The salary is in the range of $160k – $180k, and on top of that, you’ll receive full health, vision, and dental coverage, a 401k with contributions, and a minimum of 20 days PTO plus federal holidays—so you can focus on your projects without sacrificing your personal time.
What you’ll do
You’ll design FPGA solutions for SDR projects, implement DSP algorithms on FPGA hardware, and develop FPGA-based waveforms—giving you hands-on experience with some of the most advanced signal processing techniques in the defense sector.
Based onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground, you’ll work on key national security programs and build a strong professional network within the defense community. Because you already hold an active Secret or Top Secret clearance, you’ll immediately step into sensitive projects where your expertise makes a direct impact.
What you’ll need
- Strong experience in FPGA design and development
- Good knowledge of DSP and waveform processing
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
