We are currently recruiting for a power electronics engineer to join an R&D team in the Reston, Virginia area to work on a satellite project.

You will be working on a number of different projects that are at a number of different stages, and your role will encompass both new product development and the improvement and refinement of their existing product line. A background in designing switch mode power supplies would be highly beneficial.

The role is based on site in the Reston area, and the base salary is in the region of $160k – $180k dependent on experience. They have a comprehensive benefits package, including yearly bonus, health coverage, and 401K.

You will be working on:

• Full lifecycle electronic design
• SMPS design
• Experience designing for extreme environments
• PCB design (they use Altium)
• All round analog electronics experience
• Test and debug
• Experience using circuit simulation tools
